Ramsey D. Shehadeh

Dr. Shehadeh’s areas of interest include the economics of antitrust, the economics of intellectual property, and commercial damages. He also specializes in the application of statistical modeling and econometrics to these areas. Dr. Shehadeh has conducted research and prepared expert reports on the competitive effects of mergers, joint ventures, and other business combinations in a variety of industries. His research has covered a broad range of market power issues—including price-fixing, bid rigging, patent pooling, and standards setting—for civil antitrust cases. He has presented his research before the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice, and in expert testimony. Dr. Shehadeh has conducted academic research in industrial organization and econometrics. He has spoken frequently on the economics of intellectual property and competition policy and lectured on antitrust economics and valuation of intellectual property, including licensing strategies.
