Richard T. Rapp

Dr. Rapp has been President of NERA since 1988. He specializes in antitrust, intellectual property, and international economics. He advises clients in the computer, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, newspaper, book, and music industries on antitrust and intellectual property economics. His particular areas of focus include: high technology; antitrust; market power analysis; pricing; licensing, standards and royalty rate determination; intangible asset valuation; and, estimation of damages. Dr. Rapp has presented studies and testified before the Federal Trade Commission, The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, the International Trade Commission and numerous Federal District Courts. Prior to joining NERA, he was an Associate Professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Rapp’s articles have appeared in Antitrust Law Journal, Journal of World Intellectual Property, Antitrust Report, Regulation, and Journal of Economic Integration, among others.
