Mr. Morrison directs economic research in antitrust and trade regulation matters as well as breach of contract and fraud disputes. He has studied market structure and performance, analyzed prices and pricing behavior, and evaluated allegations of monopolization, attempted monopolization, price-fixing, and collusive anticompetitive behavior. His engagements frequently involve the use of large and complex computerized data sets. Mr. Morrison’s experience includes the assessment of impact and the calculation of damages, including assessing the feasibility of establishing impact and calculating damages on a classwide basis in class action litigation. He also has evaluated opposing damage models in antitrust and contract disputes, examined business financial performance, and valued assets and businesses. Mr. Morrison has extensive experience with Section 1 litigation, both criminal and civil. For example, using transaction data, Mr. Morrison has assessed the volume of commerce affected by an alleged conspiracy, estimated the pecuniary gain or loss, and evaluated the effective duration and impact of the alleged conspiracy. In addition to price-fixing cases, his experience includes matters involving bid rigging, customer allocation, and signaling. Mr. Morrison has testified in federal and state court as well as arbitration proceedings.
